
(Novice Operator and Experienced Operator)
Objective
To train the basic skill requirements, correctional instruction and associated job safety knowledge of basic Loading Shovel operation to novice operators (with no working experience). This is to the nationally recognised levels of skill, ability & safety as required by the Provision and Use of Work Equipment 1998 and section 2 of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
Duration
1 or 2 Days Dependant On Candidate Numbers and Background
Candidates can have varied experience, and practical background skills. Over a period of time ETS have devised recognised and accredited timetables and correctional instruction techniques to cater for these different situations, whilst maintaining the training requirements as laid down by the accrediting bodies, and HSE.

The above course is applicable to all common types of loading shovels
This course culminates with both practical and theoretical examinations and candidates must pass these in order to gain certification
On site training will include specific job training as per Approved Code Of Practice
